Return to the Earth Study Guide

The Return to the Earth project supports Native Americans in burying culturally unidentifiable ancestral remains currently held in museums and universities across the United States and enables a process of education and reconciliation between Native and non-Native peoples. This study guide is primarily designed for use by individuals and groups within religious communities so that they might study a key restorative justice issue of Native American tribes and nations. The writers of the guide aim to educate, challenge, and enliven creative action in their readers, especially regarding repatriation - the return of human remains and other cultural objects to Native Americans.
